Can I use the Ringflash with my DSLR?

Please check your camera manual before using any new flash on your DSLR.

While it’s possible that the Colorsplash Flash, Ringflash, and Diana+ Flash may be able to fire on your DSLR, the voltage of these flashes may damage the inner workings of your camera. We do not recommend the use of Lomography flashes with DSLR cameras.

However, if you’re the experimental type, you can work around the voltage issue by attaching an extra adaptor that will lower the trigger voltage to a safe 6 volts. Please ask your local camera shop for such an adaptor, or search the Internet for a “safe sync” connector.

Please note that the SLR adaptor mentioned in some pressings of the Ringflash booklet was never produced.
