BFI X Lomography: In Dreams Are Monsters

In celebration of the BFI's new horror film series In Dreams Are Monsters, we've teamed up with them to offer you the chance to win some prizes and some Lomography cameras too!

The British Film Institute (BFI) have launched In Dreams Are Monsters, a major UK-wide film season celebrating the horror genre on screen that runs across cinemas throughout the UK from 17th October – 31st December. This season explores five monstrous archetypes, Beast, Witch, Ghost, Vampire and Zombie and includes screenings of films such as Frankenstein (1931), Creature from The Black Lagoon (1951) The Fly, (1986) and 28 Days Later (2002.) The season will cover everything from blockbuster hits to those forgotten gems of the horror genre and will shine a light on filmmakers from ethnically diverse and queer communities.

As part of this celebration of the subtly spooky to downright terrifying film genre we have teamed up with the BFI to offer you a very special opportunity to win some fantastic items from this event.

For this competition we would like you to submit up to 10 analogue photos with the theme Horror On Film. This can be anything remotely sinister or spooky from a low light evening shot, blurry pinhole shot to an eerie still life setup or a strange and seductive double exposure. It’s up to you to find or create your most eerie and unsettling photos on film (instant film included).

Each participant may submit up to 10 analogue photographs taken using any film camera. Entries are for EU and UK residence only. This competition will run until November 2nd, 2022. Good Luck!
