Hello HughLin, could you please tell us about yourself?

Hi, everyone, I'm HughLin, I'm an independent photographer now because I like shooting everything except for work.

Could you share your experience using the LomoChrome Purple 2021 Pétillant Film?

I did some homework before the shoot. So I had some initial understanding of the characteristics of this film. At the beginning of the shoot, I preset what I wanted to shoot: sea, sky, flowers, and portraits with a little ethereal or mysterious feeling.

The appeal of LomoChrome Films to me often lies in their creativity and uniqueness. When creating some subjects, the nature of this film produces effects that cannot be achieved with other traditional films, nor can they be achieved through retouching.

Is there a specific picture that you like most from this test roll? Can you explain why?

I actually like this picture (below) very much. If this place had been shot with a normal film, the effect would not be amazing enough, and there would be no feeling. But using LomoChrome Purple 2021 film, for me, this makes the photo have an ethereal and eerie atmosphere. I'm fascinated by this vibe, so naturally this one is my favorite.

If you could sum up your LomoChrome Purple experience concisely, how would you describe it?

Feeling very excited, apprehensive, surprised by the result.

Any advice you’d like to share with future LomoChrome Purple users?

Imagine boldly, create at will, and try shooting with different parameters on different occasions. If you have the conditions, you can try to shoot and develop them by yourself, so that you can better control the result.

How do you think the LomoChrome Purple 2021 Pétillant is different from the old formula?

The new formula is great, the colors are richer and more beautiful, and the contrast is also good. I personally feel that the portrait shooting effect in strong sunlight is better than the old formula.
