A Visual Diary With Inti Gajardo Gonzalez and Lomography Films

Barcelona-based photographer Inti Gajardo Gonzalez tried our LomoChrome Metropolis and Berlin Kino 35 mm film for the first time. Check out her experience shooting with these unique films.

Hi Inti, welcome to our Online Magazine! Could you introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Inti Gajardo Gonzalez, I'm Chilean but I've been living in Barcelona for about five years. I'm 37 years old and for the last nine years I have been working as a professional photographer.

I specialize in documentary and portrait photography, which is what I like to do the most and where I feel more comfortable and, at the same time not, but it really helps me to advance in my work as an author.

Please tell us more about this stunning series shot with our LomoChrome Metropolis and Berlin Kino 35 mm films.

Some of these photographs were taken in my home with my partner, and I wanted to portray our daily life where we both live in Barcelona. The ones in black and white were taken with a compact camera that a friend of mine gave me for a trip I did in New York city. I took all the pictures without any expectations and without pressure, just letting myself go and that's what I enjoyed the most.

Was it the first time to try our films? How was your experience?

It was the first time that I used Lomography films and I liked the result quite a lot, especially the Metropolis, totally recommended.

Which camera did you use for these photos?

A Canon AE1, which is one of my favorite cameras, and the other one is a Canon compact PRIMA, that a friend of mine gave me.

Do you have any interesting projects or collaborations planned that you would like to share with us?

More and more I am returning to my work as an author, which is very important for me, so I don't get lost in the constant bombardment of images. It helps me to reconnect with my inner world, without expectations.

At the moment I am organizing an exhibition for the month of December of this year, about a series of portraits (FRACTURE) that I made the first years I came to live in Barcelona. The exhibition will be in Patti llimona center, Barcelona.
