Still experimenting with stand development: this time I tried to process a Kodak P3200 film (shot at 1250 iso) in Rodinal 1+100 for 1 hour and the results are very grainy and dark (but the weather wasn't very fine this day). I think I must abandon the idea of stand development for high speed films, as the results aren't so convincing. Perhaps better to try with some low speed film from 25 to 100 iso like the Kosmo Mono or Ferrania P30. I'm curious to try it out with the JCH Streetpan though, as it's very contrasty and can perhaps gain something in the grey tones with this film... Stand Development experimentations to be continued! :)

  • Test Roll For The Awesome Agfa

    shared by tomdegroot on 2014-02-21

This camera is old and feels old. Had to run a test roll to see if it still works. This baby is so light sensitive. And boy do I hate living in winterly dark Amsterdam sometimes. Still really love the tones and contrast in the pictures I got. Unfortunately only five decent shots got out of the twelve. Still pretty decent for a first time using 120 film at all. Also considering it is a camera from 1961.

I got my first roll of Lomography Earl Grey ISO400 back from the lab. I am really pleased with this film. While scanning the negatives I had this idea give it a tea stain look. I loaded the photos into Silver FX Pro and without changing the structure of the pictures simply toned it in a dark sepia and added a vintage border effect. I love how it elevated the great images I got from the film.

  • Mexico #5 Isla Contoy & Mujeres - Lubi -…

    shared by thejomi on 2013-12-27

A trip to the islands isla contoy and isla mujeres. I carried my beloved Lubitel with two overexpired films. A Fujichrome 64T expired in the 90´s and an Agfachrome 50S expired in the early 80´s. Both cross-processed. I like the light blue tones of the fuji and the purple tones of the Agfa, thought it is a little too dark. Good to know I have 9 more agfa rolls to try it again with 1-2 additional f-stops.

The urbex is already fun in itself, but it's even better when you discover an abandoned place without expecting it. This factory, probably an industrial flour mill, is located on the edge of the park and the river, hidden among the trees. it is accessed by a path through the bushes, then behind the trees, a fence which leaves a passage over a low wall. I didn't stay long because the sun was already low and it was dark. What is certain is that I will return there with more suitable equipment, a SLR with a bright lens and sensitive color film.

This is one on my favorite photos. It was taken in Camden Town (London) when my friends came to visit me. I like it because it was a surprise. I didn't know I had taken a photo of the wall already (it was a mistake probably) but I love the result. My friend Rebeca looks like a graffitty painted in the wall
