Another highlight of the french basque country : Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port or Donibane Garazi in basque language. A charming little city, where you can discover the crazy basque pelota (and one of the games is well known as cesta punta, and very popular in Mexico, Argentina and Florida). Well, we spent a great day there, and it's one of my favorite places in the basque country.

a few selections from a roll of tri x. I shot these with my nikon f and a my zeiss 180 f 2.8 and a 2x converter to give a 360mm focal length . It has no aperture blades so i have to shoot it wide open which explains the softness but i don't dislike that, surprisingly the contrast doesn't seem to suffer too much. Most of these are full frames, not cropped, its amazing the reach of a long telephoto. I shot everything off the harbour wall in Newquay, the beach here is popular with beginners and intermediate surfers so nothing too radical was happening out in the water but nevertheless i was still happy with the way a few of the frames turned out, nothing I'm that inspired to print though lol.!

A soviet era Jupiter 135mm f4 mounted to a spotmatic. various shots, portraits of my family, candid street snaps, soft focus flowers and guls! I love how characterful this lens is, quite soft and low contrast with beautiful bokeh if thats your thing lol!
